The Disability Inclusiveness Agribusiness Initiative (DIAI) is a nonprofit organization operating in Sierra Leone, but managed by its founder and CEO here in the US, Mr. Joseph Fofanah.
Mr. Fofanah is a childhood polio survivor who navigated a difficult life in Sierra Leone with a physical disability. His challenges, and his success, committed him to pursuing poverty alleviation and food security for the differently-abled in Sierra Leone.
DIAI is partnering with Pearls of Wata to help in the effort to find, develop, and implement sustainable technologies in Sierra Leone that translate to an improved standard of living, food security, and stable lifestyles for the most vulnerable of our nation.
DIAI currently manages 3 farming sites with 15 full-time employees. The partnership will improve the operations on existing farms and allow for expansion of their agricultural ventures.
