The Back to Basix Project addresses 6 structural aspects of the public and private sector in Sierra Leone.  While our mission is to create a stable physical environment in Sierra Leone, our vision is to marry the stability of the public sector with innovation and invention of the private sector.  Creating a sustainable society (adequate shelter, potable water, successful agriculture, etc.) will make room for and encourage a sustainable economic infrastructure.

Permaculture (Permanent Culture) is a set of design principles centered on whole systems thinking that directly utilizes the patterns and resilient features observed in natural ecosystems. It is the concept of working with nature, rather than against it, to produce what we need to sustain ourselves while gently interacting with nature. #cleanwater #wata #renewing #sustainable #agriculture

Economics is the study of how societies use scarce resources to produce valuable commodities and distribute them among different people.  Developing a physical infrastructure for Sierra Leone also requires developing a sound economic infrastructure in order for businesses to grow and thrive.  Such a system would encourage investment and innovation in a plethora of industries. #thebag #cashmoney #gentry #banking #cryptocurrency

Agriculture is the process of producing food, feed, fiber and many other desired products by the cultivation of certain plants and the raising of domesticated animals (livestock).  Sierra Leone's agricultural economy needs a re-branding to entice the younger generation to participate and reduce external dependence for food supply. #agriculture #permaculture #farmer #hemp #foodefficiency

Law is defined as a body of rules of conduct of binding legal force and effect, prescribed, recognized, and enforced by controlling authority.  The operative concept about law and legality is its ability to be enforced.  It is paramount, for the development of industry and to maintain commerce, that Sierra Leone conducts serious audits of its current legal system.  In addition, business law must be developed in such a way that the lay person, with dedicated study, can operate an ethical and lawful business entity. #BlacksLawDictionary #law #throwthebook
